Suffolk will see its first new council homes in more than 20 years being built thanks to a grant of £1million.
The grant has been awarded to Havebury Housing Partnership, to build 65 new affordable homes across Mid Suffolk and Babergh.
Havebury has been appointed by Babergh and Mid Suffolk councils as part of a cost effective way to deliver the councils’ first phase of new council housing, with the contract set to run for four years.
The project will deliver around 65 new homes, with 27 planned in Babergh and 38 planned in Mid Suffolk.
