Finalists announced for 2015 Suffolk Coastal Business & Community Awards - finalists have been confirmed for the 2015 Suffolk Coastal Business & Community Awards.
New Chairman’s Award added - Suffolk Coastal has added a new Chairman’s Award to the programme for 2015. The Chairman’s Award will honour the business that has made the most significant contribution to Suffolk Coastal during the last 40 years. The award has been created to celebrate the 40th anniversary of Suffolk Coastal District Council and will continue in future years.
This award is the only award that is solely open to businesses. It is also the only award that the public cannot nominate for. Instead the winner will be chosen from nominations made by councillors for businesses within their ward.
The search is on once more for Suffolk Coastal’s unsung heroes for the
2015 Suffolk Coastal Business and Community Award. We asked you to nominate the people, groups and businesses that you think make Suffolk Coastal such a wonderful, vibrant and impressive
community.
Suffolk Coastal's electoral wards and parishes
Electoral ward changes in Suffolk Coastal become law - new ward arrangements for Suffolk Coastal became law on 16 December 2014 and will come into force at the local elections in May 2015.
Suffolk Coastal will be represented by 42 councillors at the district council elections in May 2015 - thirteen fewer than currently. Those councillors will represent eleven single-member wards, fourteen two-member wards and one three-member ward across the district - 26 electoral wards in total.

The 2015 Suffolk Coastal Quality of Place Awards are now open for entries - do you want to nominate an outstanding design or building conservation scheme?

Coastal Quality of Place Awards were introduced in 2010 to recognise and encourage an interest in the quality of the built and environment of our district and to promote an awareness of the need for high standards in all forms of design, including planning, architecture and sustainable development.
We are now accepting entries for the 2015 Quality of Place Awards.
